CQC is proud to be able to donate $25,000 to Canadian Red Cross' British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal in support of those affected by the devastating floods in BC this winter.
The donation comes from revenue from the centre’s 2021 Santa’s Photo Studio which provided photos to over 2,600 families this holiday season.
Here are some of the specific ways this donation will make a difference:
- 4 Reception sites are being managed by the Canadian Red Cross, providing registration, clean-up kits, and other supports to those in need.
- 15 Mobile Emergency Response Teams are visiting communities and evacuees to provide support to those who cannot receive services at fixed sites or virtually.
- 18,379 Individuals have registered for support from the Canadian Red Cross.
- 2,084 Clean-up Kits—containing a mop, broom, cleaner, mask, gloves, bucket, and other items—have been distributed to help people return home.
- 186 Canadian Red Cross volunteers and employees are providing caring support to those in need.
